Senshū Bunko, Museum and archive in Kudanminami, Tokyo, Japan.

Senshū Bunko houses an extensive collection of historical documents, manuscripts, paintings, and maps primarily related to the Satake clan from the Edo period.

Established in July 1981, the museum preserves materials from the Satake family who ruled the Akita domain for over two centuries during Japan's feudal era.

The institution exemplifies Japan's dedication to preserving written heritage, maintaining genealogical records and handwritten texts that reflect traditional knowledge and administrative practices.

Located ten minutes on foot from Kudanshita Station, the museum operates from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with adult admission at 450 yen, closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The collection focuses on Edo period copying traditions, featuring replicas of famous artworks created by specialized artists for daimyo families when original masterpieces were inaccessible.
