木曾川大橋

木曾川大橋, Steel bridge across Kiso River in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

The Kiso River Bridge is a steel structure spanning approximately 1200 meters that connects Gifu Prefecture with Aichi Prefecture. The construction has multiple lanes accommodating daily traffic between the two regions.

Construction was completed in 1959, and it has served as a vital link between the two prefectures ever since. Over time, various upgrades have been made to strengthen and modernize the structure.

The bridge offers views of the Kiso River landscape, especially beautiful when cherry blossoms bloom along the banks in spring. Locals and visitors often walk here to enjoy these seasonal displays and photograph the changing scenery.

The bridge can be crossed on foot with good views of the river below. Early morning or late afternoon offers the most pleasant experience when traffic is lighter.

The structure was specifically designed to withstand the strong winds that frequently occur in the region. Engineers also ensured that the natural flow of water was not disrupted by the construction.
