羽村大橋, brug in Hamura, Japan
Hamura Oohashi is a concrete bridge spanning the Tamagawa River between Hamura and Akiruno cities. It stretches approximately 547 meters and carries the Metropolitan Road 250, serving as a major route for daily traffic between communities.
Construction began in 1970 and was completed in 1974 after four years of work. Since then, it has remained a vital connection in the region and continues to receive maintenance to ensure safe operation.
The roadway is roughly 6.5 meters wide while the sidewalk on the downstream side is only about 1.8 meters, so pedestrians should be prepared for narrow passage. Access is convenient via public transportation stops nearby and the bridge connects easily to local walking routes and recreational areas.
