Naejangsan National Park, National park with mountain peaks in North Jeolla Province, South Korea.
Naejangsan National Park spans 81 square kilometers of mountains, forests, and valleys, reaching heights of 763 meters at its highest peak.
The South Korean government established this protected area in 1971 to preserve the natural environment and Buddhist temples within its boundaries.
Two important Buddhist complexes, Baekyangsa Temple and Naejangsa Temple, stand within the park grounds, representing Korean religious architecture.
The park offers multiple hiking trails of various difficulty levels, from the easy 1.6-kilometer Nature Observatory path to the challenging 11-kilometer Ridge route.
The park contains 600-year-old nutmeg trees and displays red maple leaves during October and November, attracting visitors from across South Korea.
