Naejangsan National Park

Naejangsan National Park is a mountain area in North Jeolla Province spread across forested slopes, deep valleys, and rocky ridges. The landscape combines steep hillsides with patches of grassland and rock formations, creating varied terrain for visitors to explore.

The area became a national park in 1971 when South Korea decided to protect its mountain forests and the Buddhist temples located within. This decision marked the beginning of formal conservation efforts that continue to shape how the land is managed today.
