Chaoma, Transportation hub in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan
Chaoma is a transportation hub in Xitun District that combines a modern sports complex with an intercity bus station. The location features badminton courts, swimming pools, and multiple bus terminals serving destinations throughout Taiwan.
Development of the area began in 2014 when planning started for a new sports center, which opened in December 2016. This opening reinforced the district's function as a transportation hub for the Taichung region.
The sports center operates under the China Youth Corp. and functions as a gathering place for regular physical training. The badminton courts and swimming pools draw local residents who come for their daily exercise routines.
The bus terminals are clearly marked and passengers can find connections to major cities across Taiwan including Taipei and the international airport. Visitors to the sports center should expect longer queues at entrances during peak hours.
The complex sits just about 1 kilometer from Fengjia Night Market, one of Taiwan's largest night markets. Travelers can easily visit this popular market before or after their journeys.
