Xitun Fude Temple

The Xitun Fude Temple sits in the center of Xidun Village and displays traditional Taiwanese architecture with decorated altars and detailed carved elements. Inside, the sanctuary combines ornate religious symbols with functional spaces designed for the community.

The site was founded in 1775 and has retained its spiritual importance to the village ever since. Multiple renovations have modernized the sanctuary while keeping its original purpose and focus intact.

The temple serves as a gathering place where residents celebrate lunar festival occasions and perform religious ceremonies honoring the Earth God. Visitors can observe how the community maintains these spiritual practices as part of daily life.

The site welcomes visitors throughout the year with no entrance fee and is easily found in the village center. On-site spaces allow visitors to watch worship activities and explore the sanctuaries at their own pace.

Some original structures date back to the 1700s and remain visible today. At the same time, the community uses modern areas of the sanctuary for contemporary gatherings and events.
