Shuinan Economic and Trade Park, Economic and trade park in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan.
Shuinan Economic and Trade Park is a large mixed-use development divided into zones for business, housing, culture, research, and education. The layout combines office buildings, residential areas, public spaces, and university campuses on one connected site.
The site was formerly Shuinan Airport, which served Taichung until aviation operations moved to Qingquangang in 2004. After the airport closed, the land was redeveloped into a mixed economic and academic center.
China Medical University and Feng Chia University operate campuses within the park, bringing students and researchers into the space daily. Their presence shapes how people move through the area and what activities fill different parts of the park.
The park sits just minutes from the Zhongqing Interchange on National Highway 1, with a transit station located on the grounds. Multiple access roads help distribute traffic flow and make it easier to navigate different sections of the development.
Traces of the site's past as an airport remain visible when exploring the park. This historical layer gives the place a depth beyond being a simple business district.
