Plato Palace, Modern residential skyscraper in Xitun District, Taiwan
Plato Palace is a modern residential skyscraper in Taichung's Xitun District, rising 172 meters with 43 above-ground floors and 6 basement levels. The building occupies a total area of 46,585 square meters (501,371 sq ft) and stands as a major addition to the local skyline.
Construction began in 2017 and was completed in 2021, marking a new phase in the development of Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone. The project represented a significant milestone in the city's urban expansion during that period.
The structure, known locally as 聯聚瑞和大廈, stands as the tallest residential building in Taichung and the twentieth tallest structure in Taiwan.
The building is designed with advanced safety features to protect residents from earthquakes and typhoons that are common in Taiwan. These structural protections make it a secure residential choice in this seismically active area.
The building features specialized deep foundations and structural reinforcements specifically engineered for its location within the Pacific Ring of Fire seismic zone. This engineering achievement shows how local geological challenges shape modern high-rise construction techniques.
