Millennium Vee Hotel Taichung, Luxury hotel in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan
The Millennium Vee Hotel Taichung is a high-rise hotel in the Central Business District of Taichung, Taiwan, standing 99 m tall across 24 floors. It sits close to the National Taichung Theater, within a cluster of modern buildings in this central area.
The hotel opened in 2012 as part of the development of Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, a large urban renewal project in the city center. It was one of several buildings that shaped the look of this business district during that period.
The hotel contains two restaurants with different concepts: Soluna serves international buffets, while The Prime focuses on grilled meat and seafood. Both reflect the mix of local Taiwanese and international food that is common in this part of Taichung.
The nearest stop on the Green Line is Taichung City Hall, from which the hotel is within walking distance. The surrounding area is easy to get around on foot and has a good number of shops, restaurants, and other facilities close by.
The building stands next to one of the few new parks created as part of the redevelopment zone, giving the block an open feel that is uncommon in dense city centers. These green spaces were planned from the start as part of the urban project, not added later.
