Taichung Commercial Bank Headquarters, Bank headquarters in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan
The Taichung Commercial Bank Headquarters is a 200-meter-high skyscraper with 40 floors above ground and 10 basement levels located in central Taiwan. The structure houses banking operations, corporate offices, exhibition spaces, and sky gardens linked through transparent glass corridors.
Construction began in 2019 under the direction of international architecture firm Aedas after extensive planning and design phases. The building reflects the financial sector's expansion and Taiwan's growing economic development.
The building's design weaves the bank's corporate symbol directly into its modern glass form, merging business heritage with contemporary architecture. Visitors can observe how this symbol shapes the overall appearance and layout of the structure.
The site is well connected with clear pathways to all public-facing areas, including exhibition spaces and gardens. The transparent corridors help with navigation and make it easy to move between different levels.
The structure consists of two separate towers joined by glass boxes at varying heights that create functional spaces between them. This unusual connection design allows visitors to move between towers while experiencing the innovative construction approach.
