Sun Moon Lake Longfeng Temple

Longfeng Temple is a Chinese temple situated on the banks of Sun Moon Lake with multiple halls decorated with intricate carved details. The structures showcase traditional craftsmanship through their elaborately designed interiors and decorative elements throughout.

The temple was originally built in a different location but was relocated after hydroelectric development reshaped the lake region in the 1930s. This move reflects the broader changes that transformed the area surrounding the water.

The temple sits along the shore of Sun Moon Lake and opens daily to visitors. Parking is available on-site, making it easy to explore the grounds if you arrive by car.

Adjacent to the main temple stands a separate shrine building that was relocated here after sustaining damage from an earthquake. This side-by-side arrangement of two prayer sites is visible to visitors and shows how local sacred spaces support one another.
