Ci En Pagoda

Ci En Pagoda is an octagonal structure in Yuchi Township that rises 46 meters high and features traditional Chinese architectural elements throughout its design. The lower floors are painted white while the upper levels showcase a golden red color.

Construction began in 1971 when a state leader initiated this project as a memorial to a family member, requiring materials to be transported across Sun Moon Lake. This building served as a personal tribute to someone important in the nation's past.

This structure represents traditional Chinese architectural design through its decorated eaves and balanced proportions, visible in every detail as you walk around it. The careful craftsmanship at each level reflects long-standing building practices valued in Chinese culture.
