Yuchi Township, Administrative township in Nantou County, Taiwan
Located between uplands and western plains, Yuchi Township extends 2.6 kilometers east to west and 13.5 kilometers north to south within Nantou County.
The township's original name Go-sia-po translates to 'five castles' and underwent changes during Taiwan's administrative restructuring after 1949.
The Thao people maintain their ancestral traditions near Sun Moon Lake, contributing to the preservation of indigenous heritage in the township.
Provincial Highway 21 connects the thirteen villages of Yuchi Township, while the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway provides additional transportation options.
The region contains 28 mountains and maintains an annual temperature of 19.3°C with 81.2% humidity, supporting the production of Yuchi black tea.
