The Marcus Amphitheater spans across multiple levels with covered pavilion seating and an expansive lawn area overlooking Lake Michigan in Milwaukee.
Constructed in 1987 following an overcrowded Huey Lewis concert in 1984, the venue addressed Milwaukee's need for a large-scale performance space.
The amphitheater serves as the main stage during Summerfest, presenting performances from international musicians across different musical genres throughout summer.
The venue accommodates 25,000 spectators with 9,200 seats under the pavilion roof and additional seating zones including reserved and general admission lawn spaces.
The performance space underwent a complete 50-million-dollar renovation in 2019, enhancing its technical capabilities and audience facilities.
