Chase Tower, Office skyscraper in downtown Milwaukee, United States
Chase Tower is a 22-story office building in downtown Milwaukee featuring a dark green facade and glass curtain walls. Located at Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street along the Milwaukee River, it houses parking facilities, a fitness center, and food vendors.
The tower was built in 1961 by architects Harrison and Abramovitz and originally served as headquarters for Marine Bank. Corporate mergers and acquisitions led to its eventual renaming as Chase Tower.
The building houses Milwaukee Public Radio WUWM studios, where local programming is created and broadcast. An elevated skywalk system links the tower to the city center, making it a functional landmark in downtown circulation.
The building is easily accessible and provides ample parking with around 750 spaces for visitors and workers. Elevated pedestrian walkways offer a convenient way to explore the area without navigating busy streets.
The building held the position of Milwaukee's second-tallest structure from its completion until 1973, when another tower surpassed it in height. This long period of architectural prominence shaped how residents and visitors perceived the downtown skyline.
