AT&T Center

The AT&T Center is a 213 foot tall commercial building in downtown Milwaukee featuring neo-gothic facade elements and steel frame construction spanning nineteen floors. The complex contains six elevators and was designed as an office and administrative building.

Wisconsin Telephone commissioned construction of this building in 1918, with the structure completed in 1924 under the direction of architects Eschweiler & Eschweiler. The completion marked the finish of an important telecommunications infrastructure project for the growing city.

The building showcases early 20th century office architecture when telecommunications companies began establishing prominent headquarters in American city centers. Its neo-gothic details tell of a time when commercial structures were designed with careful attention to craftsmanship and visual character.

The building is located at 722 North Broadway with convenient connections to the Milwaukee County Transit System and the Hop transit network. The site is easily accessible by public transportation and offers access to surrounding pedestrian walkways.
