The building was constructed in 1890 by architect Herman Schnetzky and served as headquarters for one of Milwaukee's largest breweries. Its role as an active brewery facility ended following its acquisition by Pabst in 1958.

The painted ceiling features portraits of Milwaukee brewing leaders including Joseph Schlitz, Frederick Miller, Frederick Pabst, and Valentin Blatz. These artworks honor the local brewing heritage that shaped the city's identity.
