OneAmerica Tower, 38-story high-rise building in downtown Indianapolis, United States
OneAmerica Tower is a 38-story skyscraper in downtown Indianapolis with a limestone exterior and an elongated hexagonal footprint. The structure features two extended wing sections at its lower levels and rises approximately 533 feet above the street.
The tower was designed and built in 1982 by the renowned architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It held the distinction of being Indiana's tallest building until Salesforce Tower eclipsed it in 1990.
The Skyline Club on the 36th floor functions as a private dining establishment, offering panoramic views of Indianapolis and its surrounding metropolitan region.
The building features an accessible lobby with electronic turnstiles and houses multiple office spaces along with the Atrium Market for food services. It is a privately managed building, so visitor access is limited to certain public areas.
Since 1984, the building has hosted an annual charity climbing event called 'Bop to the Top' where participants ascend 790 steps covering about 500 feet of vertical distance. This fundraiser combines physical challenge with community support for local causes.
