Stabler Arena

Stabler Arena is a multipurpose venue located on the Lehigh University campus in Bethlehem. The building holds about 6,200 seats for concerts and 5,600 for basketball games, with a large performance space for various events.

The arena opened in 1979 and replaced the older Taylor Gymnasium on campus. Its construction was funded by a donation from Donald B. Stabler, a 1930 Lehigh graduate.

The venue hosted breakthrough performances by major artists like AC/DC, Whitney Houston, and Billy Joel during their careers. For music lovers, it remains a place tied to memorable moments in concert history.

The venue has wheelchair access at all entrances and designated parking areas. Direct bus service connects the arena to different parts of the campus and surrounding areas.

Whitney Houston filmed the music video for her song 'So Emotional' during a performance here on October 21, 1987. This concert remains one of the most memorable events held at the venue.
