Holy Family Church

Holy Family Church is a Gothic Revival building featuring pointed arches, colorful stained glass windows, and an ornate altar in the Franklinton area. The structure displays the architectural style typical of late 1800s churches, with a solid brick and stone exterior located on West Broad Street.

The building was completed in 1889 and has served as a religious center for the growing community ever since. The original parish began in 1877, establishing roots in the Franklinton neighborhood over more than a century ago.

The church serves as a gathering place for the local Catholic community, where people come together for Mass and religious events throughout the year. It remains an important part of neighborhood life, connecting families and generations through shared faith and tradition.

The building is accessible from the street and can be visited when services are not taking place, though the best way to learn about hours and events is to contact the parish directly. Photography inside may be restricted during services, so it is worth checking ahead if you plan to visit.

In 2022 the Mercedarian religious order took over pastoral care of the church, bringing fresh leadership and new directions to the community. This transition represents a significant moment in the institution's continuing story.
