Gopal Fun Park
Gopal Fun Park is an amusement park in Katahari, near Biratnagar in Nepal, drawing families and school groups who look for a day of outdoor activities. The park offers rides, boating, a mini train, horse riding, rope climbing, a commando net, and open spaces where people can sit and eat snacks between activities.
The park was established to give families around Biratnagar a local place for outdoor recreation at a time when such spaces were rare in the region. Over the years, new rides and activities were added as the park grew to serve a wider audience.
The park sits about 1 mile (roughly 1.5 km) from Hatkhola in Biratnagar and is easy to reach by local transport, with parking available nearby. Bringing cash is a good idea since card payments are not always accepted, and arriving early on weekends or holidays helps avoid crowds.
The park covers 13 bighas of land, making it the largest amusement park in the Biratnagar area. Despite its size, the layout stays open and easy to walk through, so visitors rarely feel lost or overwhelmed.
