M. V. Frunze Museum, Memorial museum in central Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The museum consists of a modern building constructed in 1967 that encloses the original 1879 thatched-roof house where Mikhail Frunze was born.
The museum opened in 1925 following the death of Mikhail Frunze, a Red Army commander who led military campaigns on the Eastern Front in 1920.
The exhibition space of 1,760 square meters displays over 6,000 items including manuscripts, photographs, and personal belongings from Frunze and his family.
While the museum texts are primarily in Kyrgyz and Russian languages, guided tours allow visitors to understand the significance of displayed artifacts.
The preserved adobe hut on the first floor presents the authentic living conditions of a 19th-century Russian peasant family in Central Asia.
