Ala-Archa National Park, National park in Chuy Region, Kyrgyzstan

Located on the northern slope of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountain range, the park extends from 1600 to 4860 meters altitude across 2280 hectares of terrain.

The national park, established in 1976, preserves the natural heritage of the Tian Shan mountains and maintains a system of protected alpine environments.

The park's name comes from the Kyrgyz word 'archa', referring to the juniper trees that Kyrgyz people consider sacred within their traditional beliefs.

The entrance fee grants access to 150 climbing routes, numerous hiking paths, a nature museum, and facilities that remain open throughout the entire year.

Twenty glaciers and fifty mountain peaks define the landscape, including the 4895-meter Semenov-Tian-Shansky Peak in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too Range.
