Metropol Istanbul, Skyscraper complex in Ataşehir district, Turkey
Metropol Istanbul is a complex of three towers in the Ataşehir financial district, with the tallest reaching 301 meters (988 feet) high. It combines residential apartments in the upper sections, office spaces in the middle floors, and a large shopping center with stores, restaurants, and a cinema at its base.
The site was developed following a design competition won by architecture firm RMJM in 2010, with construction taking place from 2013 to 2017. The completion marked a significant transformation of this location in the growing financial district.
The shopping center serves as a gathering place where people from across the city come to browse international brands alongside local shops. Cafes and restaurants scattered throughout create spaces where visitors naturally linger and socialize.
The complex is easy to reach by public transit thanks to its proximity to Kozyatağı station. You can spend several hours here browsing shops, dining at restaurants, or catching a movie at the cinema.
The architectural design draws inspiration from the ancient Theodosian Wall through specific design elements and window treatments. The City Boulevard within the complex creates a dedicated space for high-end shopping experiences.
