Ta Vie

Ta Vie is a restaurant on the second floor of The Pottinger Hotel on Queen's Road Central that blends French and Japanese cooking techniques. The dishes are prepared mainly with ingredients from Japanese producers and local farmers.

The restaurant evolved from its earlier concept as Holytan Grill into a recognized dining establishment. It received two Michelin stars from 2017 to 2022 and was later awarded three stars.

The restaurant is led by Chef Hideaki Sato, who combines French and Japanese cooking methods in the kitchen. The cooking follows a principle of pure, simple dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients.

Advance reservations are required, and the restaurant is open Thursday through Sunday. Arrive a bit early to allow time for entering the hotel and finding the second floor location.

The restaurant bakes fresh sourdough bread daily and produces butter made through traditional methods. The wine list includes both European and Asian selections.
