Humble House Taipei, Curio Collection by Hilton
Humble House Taipei, Curio Collection by Hilton, is a design hotel in the Xinyi district, one of Taipei's most modern urban areas. The glass and metal building houses 235 guest rooms, a Mediterranean restaurant called La Farfalla, a heated outdoor pool, and a spa with a fitness area.
The hotel was built as the Xinyi district transformed from an industrial zone into a modern commercial center, a shift that took place mostly from the 1990s onward. It belongs to the Curio Collection by Hilton, a group of hotels that favor local design and character over a standardized corporate look.
The hotel's name points to a philosophy of simplicity, which stands in contrast to the bold glass and metal building it occupies. More than 600 works by contemporary artists are spread across the corridors, rooms and common areas, making art a natural part of daily life for guests.
The hotel sits close to Taipei City Hall Metro Station, making it easy to get around the city by public transport. An airport shuttle service is available, and front desk staff are on hand around the clock to assist with any needs during the stay.
On the ground floor, an art installation shows sheets of paper shaped as if blown through the air, frozen mid-flight. On the sixth floor, a garden offers a patch of green that most visitors walking through the lobby never think to look for.
