Skypoint Observaton Deck

SkyPoint Observation Deck occupies the entire 77th floor of the Q1 Building and provides 360-degree views across the coastline and mountain ranges of the Gold Coast. The layout allows visitors to explore all directions from a single location and see distant peaks on clear days.

The observation deck opened in 2005 following the completion of the Q1 skyscraper, which was then Australia's tallest residential building. This tower changed the skyline of Surfers Paradise and became a new landmark that drew visitors from across the region.

The deck allows visitors to watch the Gold Coast transform as daylight fades into evening, with beaches and buildings gradually illuminating below. This nightly shift reveals how locals experience their city—a place that comes alive after sunset with light reflecting off water and city streets.

A high-speed elevator takes visitors to the upper level in seconds, with signage and information displays throughout the deck. Visit early morning or late evening for the clearest views across the entire landscape.
