The Wave

The Wave is a 34-floor residential skyscraper at the Surf Parade and Victoria Avenue intersection in Broadbeach facing the Pacific Ocean. The 118 apartments within are arranged with varied orientations to maximize ocean views for residents.

Construction started in 2003 and was completed in 2006, creating a new residential landmark for the Gold Coast. The project represented a major investment in the region's modern high-rise development.

The building gained international attention after appearing in the Bollywood film 'Singh Is Kinng', making it recognizable to audiences beyond Australia.

The site features basement parking and commercial spaces across three levels with shops and services. Visitors should note that facilities are primarily for residents, so public access may be limited.

The exterior features reinforced concrete balconies arranged to create a wave-like pattern across the building. This design ensures each apartment receives balanced sunlight and shade throughout the day.
