The Grand Egyptian Museum extends across 480,000 square meters of land between the ancient pyramids and the modern city of Cairo.
The foundation stone of this monumental project was placed in 2002, initiating the construction of what would become the largest archaeological museum globally.
The museum houses over 100,000 artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization, including the complete collection of Tutankhamun's tomb with numerous items displayed for the first time.
The museum complex operates daily from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with gallery access from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and final ticket sales at 4:00 PM.
The museum incorporates advanced conservation laboratories and storage facilities capable of maintaining thousands of ancient artifacts in optimal conditions.
