The museum occupies a restored eighteenth-century Bethlehemite hospital building, which underwent renovation from 1990 to 2004 at a cost of 1.6 million dollars.
The museum educates visitors through interactive displays where they can simulate markets, observe money printing processes, and learn about corporate operations.
Located on Tacuba Street between Bolivar and Filomeno Mata, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with admission at 95 pesos.
The institution stands as the first museum worldwide dedicated exclusively to economics, featuring a specialized collection of colonial Latin American coins.
