頭城城堡咖啡一館
頭城城堡咖啡一館, also known as Toucheng Castle Cafe, is a café inside a building shaped like a castle, in Toucheng Township in northeastern Taiwan. It has two floors with high ceilings, several seating areas with sofas, and power outlets available throughout.
The building originally served as a guard station or residence built in the style of a castle, several decades ago in the Toucheng area. After several rounds of renovation, it was converted into a café while keeping some of the original architectural features.
The name of the café combines the Toucheng area with the castle shape of the building. People come here to meet over coffee in a setting that feels out of the ordinary for a typical café.
The mountain road leading to the café has steep sections, so take care when driving up. Free parking is available on site, and there is a minimum spend per person when ordering.
From the upper floor, on a clear day, you can spot Guishan Island out over the water, along with Wuishi Port and the Lanyang Museum in the distance. Many visitors come for the interior and are surprised to find this kind of coastal view from up there.
