Pakistan Maritime Museum

The Pakistan Maritime Museum is a maritime museum and park in Gulshan District featuring naval equipment, machinery, and historic vessels spread across 28 acres. The collection includes submarines, minesweepers, and other craft that tell the story of Pakistan's naval operations.

The museum was founded in 1997 to preserve Pakistan's naval heritage and operational history. Key vessels on display include a submarine that played a significant role in a past military engagement and a minesweeper from naval operations.

The museum reflects Pakistan's relationship with the sea through galleries dedicated to naval history and marine life. These displays show how maritime heritage connects to national identity.

The site is located near a naval base and accessible by walking from nearby main roads. Since the space covers a large area, allow enough time to explore both the outdoor vessels and indoor displays, especially if you plan to go inside the vessels.

The museum holds a wooden barge gifted during the 1960s and displays a complete whale skeleton on its grounds. These pieces show the range of the collection beyond military vessels and add an unexpected natural element to the visit.
