Oasia Hotel
Oasia Hotel Downtown is a tall building in Singapore's Central Business District covered with plants and vines climbing up the facade. The structure contains 314 rooms and suites, multiple pools, a club floor with a private lounge, and various dining options in a modern, glass-forward design.
The hotel was completed in 2016 by the architecture firm WOHA, known for integrating nature with urban building design. The project embodied Singapore's approach to combining modern high-rises with ecological concepts.
The name comes from the Oasia concept series, which promotes sustainability in urban spaces. The building shows daily how greenery and climbing plants on the walls shape city life and make the experience more pleasant for visitors.
The hotel is only a short walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, allowing quick connections to other parts of the city. The area has many restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby, so visitors can easily find everything they need during their stay.
The building was designed with living plants on walls and terraces to attract birds and insects, supporting wildlife in an urban space. This green infrastructure naturally cools the structure and improves air circulation without relying on traditional air conditioning systems.
