Playa Arenal d'en Castell

Playa Arenal d'en Castell is a beach on Menorca's northern coast with fine white sand and sheltered water nestled within a natural bay formation. The shoreline curves in a horseshoe shape that shields swimmers from stronger waves.

The location began as a small fishing village on this northern bay. The modern beach facilities developed from the 1970s onward as tourism grew across the islands.

Local fishermen maintain their traditional practices in the adjacent waters, bringing fresh catches to the restaurants that line the beachfront.

The beach has wooden pathways for easy access, lifeguards on duty, and rental stations for umbrellas and water sports equipment. The shallow bay and gentle waves make it a safe swimming spot, especially for families with children.

The natural bay configuration creates a perfect semicircle of 300 meters diameter, with waters that remain consistently calm throughout the year.
