The Armed Forces Museum displays extensive collections of military uniforms, weapons, vehicles, and personal items from Senegalese military personnel throughout different periods.

Founded in 1997, the museum preserves the legacy of traditional African armies, colonial forces, and national military units since Senegal's independence.

The museum maintains a documentation center focusing on West African traditional armies and presents letters from Senegalese soldiers during World War I.

Located at 75 Boulevard de la République in Dakar, the museum welcomes visitors Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The entrance features an inscription about exceeding simple duty through examples of those who went beyond regular service.
