Malta Marine Park

Malta Marine Park is a facility in Naxxar that houses dolphins, sea lions, reptiles, and exotic birds in specially designed enclosures. The animals live in environments built for their care while allowing visitors and researchers to observe them.

The facility developed as a breeding and training center for dolphins, with multiple generations born and raised on site. This breeding program led to new insights about how these animals communicate and behave in human care.

A sea lion named Junior was born here years ago and is the only animal of his kind ever born in Malta. He performs daily and shows natural behaviors that would typically be seen in the wild.
