Dream Park, Theme park in 6th of October City, Egypt
Dream Park is a theme park in 6th of October City, west of Cairo, offering 48 rides and attractions spread across a large site. Paved walkways connect different zones surrounded by planted greenery and seating areas.
The park opened in 1999 and was designed by Canadian firm Forrec, which also worked on leisure projects in North America. It was among the first large amusement facilities of its kind in Egypt at the time of opening.
Seven themed zones form the layout of the park and attract Egyptian families who spend time together outdoors on weekends and holidays. Visitors often walk slowly between rides and gardens, stopping at shaded spots to rest and share snacks.
Entry options range from around 130 to 760 Egyptian pounds depending on group size and visitor age. The site opens daily from late morning until evening, with weekends typically busier than weekdays.
The park sits around eight kilometers (five miles) from the Pyramids of Giza and receives up to 30,000 visitors on some days. This proximity to ancient monuments surprises many visitors who do not expect a modern amusement site so close to archaeological landmarks.
