Es Códol Foradat, Beach in Migjorn area, Formentera, Spain

Es Códol Foradat stretches for about 900 meters along Formentera's southern coast, alternating between golden sand sections and limestone formations with multiple private coves. The shoreline features numerous natural rock pools and small, secluded inlets that form separate beach areas.

The name comes from an ancient pierced rock formation that created a natural cave, serving as a reference point for local fishermen. This distinctive feature made the location a known meeting point and landmark for traditional fishing activity along this coast.

The beach is woven into fishing traditions visible through rustic huts scattered along the shoreline. The area also protects native seagrass meadows that form part of the coastal ecosystem.

The shoreline is accessible through three different access points that lead to various sections, with parking available near the nearby restaurant. The beach is best visited early in the day or outside peak season to better enjoy the smaller inlets on your own.

The beach is known for its natural rock pools that fill with water depending on the season and wave movement, creating small habitats. These temporary pools attract marine life and offer spontaneous swimming experiences among the rocks during summer months.
