Es Arenals

Es Arenals is a public beach on the southern coast of Formentera featuring fine white sand and natural dunes. The shoreline stretches for roughly 550 meters alongside shallow Mediterranean waters.

The name comes from the extensive sandy areas that formed naturally over centuries through wind and water action. This coastal formation has shaped the appearance of this part of the shoreline.

The beach welcomes families, naturists, and water sports enthusiasts in separate sections. Each area develops its own character, creating a place where different groups can spend time in their preferred way.

The area has multiple parking options and offers rentals for beach chairs, umbrellas, and kayaks. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, providing safety oversight for swimmers.

This section is the only part of the eight-kilometer Migjorn coastline with year-round lifeguard coverage. This steady presence sets it apart from neighboring coves and makes it a reliable choice.
