Nangyuan Island Beach, Sand beach on Ko Tao Island, Thailand
Three small rocky islands connect through a thin white sand strip, forming a natural bridge between turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
The beach gained international recognition in the 1980s when scuba diving operations established the first dive centers near Japanese Gardens reef.
Local fishing communities maintain traditional longtail boat services, transporting visitors between Ko Tao main island and Nangyuan Beach throughout the day.
The beach opens from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, with an entrance fee of 250 baht and strict regulations prohibiting single-use plastic items.
The sand formation creates two separate beaches facing opposite directions, allowing visitors to experience different water conditions on the same shoreline.
