Parque Mariscal Santa Cruz, Municipal park in Molle, Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Parque Mariscal Santa Cruz is a public sports and recreation complex in the Molle neighborhood of Cochabamba, Bolivia. It brings together several courts, a swimming pool, and children's play areas within a single green space.
The park was developed in the late 1990s as part of an effort by Cochabamba to expand recreational infrastructure in its growing neighborhoods. Its location in Molle placed it close to the residential areas it was meant to serve.
The park is named after Andrés de Santa Cruz, a Bolivian general and statesman of the 19th century whose name appears across many public spaces in the country. On weekends, families from the neighborhood gather here to use the courts and open areas together.
The park is open most days of the week, and weekend mornings tend to be the busiest time. Bringing cash is a good idea, as card payment may not always be available at the entrance.
The complex reportedly houses a small museum dedicated to the history of water skiing in South America, with equipment and documents on display. This makes the park an unusual place where sport and local history meet under the same roof.
