Nintendo Museum

The museum opened in 2024 on the site of the former Ogura Plant, where the company manufactured playing cards and serviced gaming devices for decades. This conversion of a working factory into an exhibition space reflects how the company has preserved its manufacturing heritage.

The museum offers hands-on workshops for making Hanafuda cards, connecting visitors directly to Japanese card-playing customs that existed centuries before video games.

The museum is accessible via Ogura Station, and visitors cannot enter with cars or motorcycles. Tickets are distributed through a lottery system, so it is important to check availability in advance.

The museum features oversized game controllers designed for two players, letting visitors experience classic games in an unconventional way. These interactive installations offer a hands-on approach to engaging with the games on display.
