The bar opened in April 2024 following a major renovation of the Conrad hotel space. It replaced a previous rooftop establishment and brought Italian design themes to Downtown Manhattan's hospitality scene.
The venue draws from Italian aperitivo traditions where guests gather for drinks and light bites before dinner. This social custom shapes how the space is used, with cocktails and complimentary snacks creating that pre-dinner gathering spirit.
