Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Motion simulator attraction in Lake Buena Vista, United States
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is a motion simulator attraction in the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area of Disney's Hollywood Studios. Guests sit inside a replica of the famous spaceship's cockpit while screens and movement create the feeling of flying through different planets and asteroid fields.
The ride was announced in 2018 and first opened at Disneyland on May 31, 2019, followed by Disney's Hollywood Studios three months later. In 2026, the original story set between the eighth and ninth films was replaced with a scenario featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu.
Part of the experience revolves around Hondo Ohnaka, a pirate from the animated Star Wars series, whose figure delivers the mission briefing inside the command center. Visitors waiting in the cockpit area can spot details from the films, such as the dejarik table and familiar control panels, which fans often recognize immediately.
Expect to stand in a long outdoor queue that winds behind a full-size Millennium Falcon, then passes through an engine room and a holding area before boarding. The ride moves constantly on rotating turntables, so waits tend to stay steady rather than stopping and starting.
A hidden mode allows riders to change the usual narration, with Chewbacca taking over the voice duties if activated before departure. In the current version, only the guest in the gunner position can unlock a similar secret mode for Grogu.
