Judith Bridge, Former stone bridge over the Vltava river in Prague
Judith Bridge was a stone structure that once connected Old Town to Malá Strana across the Vltava River. It served as a major crossing point in the 13th century before the construction of Charles Bridge.
The bridge arose in the early 13th century and remained a main traffic artery until Charles Bridge was built in the 14th century. It eventually fell into disrepair and was demolished.
Since the bridge no longer exists, visitors can only visit the site where it once stood and imagine its appearance. The best way to learn about this former crossing is through nearby museums and historic landmarks in Old Town and Malá Strana.
