Broumovsko Protected Landscape Area

Landschaftsschutzpark Braunauer Ländchen is a protected landscape area near the Polish border featuring sandstone cliffs, deep forests, and large rock formations that cover roughly 430 square kilometers. The terrain includes marked hiking and cycling routes that wind through the varied geology, allowing visitors to experience the natural formations up close.

Benedictine monks arrived in medieval times and shaped the region's development for centuries until the late 20th century. Their management of the land and monastic communities left a lasting imprint on how the territory was organized and used.
