Moravská bouda, Mountain hut in Špindlerův Mlýn, Czech Republic
Moravská bouda is a mountain hut located at 1225 meters elevation with 14 rooms and south-facing windows overlooking the Krkonose mountains and surrounding valleys. The facility provides lodging and dining services for hikers and skiers visiting the central mountain region.
The hut was founded in 1876 as a rest stop for travelers exploring the central Krkonose region. Its establishment coincided with the growing popularity of the mountains as a hiking destination during the 1800s.
The restaurant serves traditional Czech dishes made with ingredients from nearby farms. Visitors experience local food traditions in a mountain setting that reflects the region's culinary heritage.
Winter access requires parking at Erlebachova bouda with snowmobile transport provided to reach the hut, while summer visitors can arrange direct parking with a permit. Both seasons offer different routing depending on weather and snow conditions.
The hut operates a private 300-meter ski lift designed for beginners to learn on the slope. Advanced skiers can access the nearby Davidovky lift which is significantly longer and offers more challenging terrain.
