The museum maintains the Jasper & Anna Peabody Marsh Research Center containing 13,000 documents, photographs, and books detailing fire service traditions.
The facility opens on Saturdays throughout the year and Wednesday through Saturday during summer months, offering guided tours for different age groups.
Visitors can examine the cast-iron facade from Baltimore's Engine Company Number 8, constructed in 1871 and integrated into the museum's exhibits.
