Brooklyn Street Circuit, Street racing circuit in Red Hook, Brooklyn, United States
The Brooklyn Street Circuit is a racing track that winds through the streets of Red Hook, stretching approximately 2.4 kilometers with 14 turns. The route passes near the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and uses city streets as part of its layout.
The track began operations in July 2017 with two Formula E races, where a driver achieved victories in both consecutive events. In 2018, the configuration expanded northward to accommodate new Formula E vehicles with higher power requirements.
The racing events display electric vehicle technology and racing simulators, connecting motorsport with environmental awareness in a way visitors can experience directly.
Visitors can reach the circuit using the B61 bus line, which connects to nearby subway stations, with extra shuttle services available on race days. Arriving early helps you navigate the busy neighborhood and find good viewing spots.
The course runs through an active port neighborhood, where racing events compete with the daily flow of cargo operations and cruise ships. This unusual setting creates a dynamic contrast between modern sport and industrial harbor activity.
