Trump Parc is a 38-story Art Deco skyscraper located at the corner of Central Park South and Sixth Avenue with a limestone and brick exterior. The tower houses residential units and provides direct access to the park, shopping areas, and public transportation.

The 38-story Barbizon-Plaza Hotel opened on May 12, 1930, built for $10 million by William H. Silk to architect Laurence Emmons's design. After foreclosure in 1933, it hosted Royal Navy officers during World War II and homophile movement conventions in the late 1950s and 1960s. Donald Trump bought it in 1981, closed the hotel on December 14, 1985, and completed the condominium conversion with 340 units around 1988.

The Barbizon-Plaza was built as a co-ed companion to the Barbizon Hotel for Women on East 63rd Street, with soundproof practice rooms, art studios and two performance halls for its artist and musician guests. From 1958 to 1965 it hosted homophile movement gatherings, including the Mattachine Society's fifth convention in 1958 and the Daughters of Bilitis' third convention in 1964.

The building sits within walking distance of multiple subway lines and offers easy access to Central Park and Fifth Avenue shopping. Keep in mind this is a private residential building best viewed from the street or nearby public spaces.

Some apartments in the building remain subject to rent control rules from decades past, allowing tenants to pay well below current market rates. This arrangement is a rare holdover from an earlier era of housing regulation in the city.
